Arsenio Baca
Co-Founder, Artist
Born and raised in the Bay Area, Arsenio is a self-taught artist specializing in multiple art forms including pyrography, tattooing and murals. He graduated in 2010 from the University of New Mexico with a degree in Business Administration. Immediately upon graduating he decided to devote his life to pursuing his art. He moved back to the Bay Area where he spent close to a decade hustling art and refining his skills in creation. In 2018 he moved to Monterey, CA to start a new chapter in his journey. Teaming up with the other members of La Neta in 2020, he quickly realized that collaborative art would become a major focus moving forward. Arsenio continues to work around the Monterey Peninsula and greater Bay Area spreading his art in as many communities as possible.
Murals have become a dominant part of my life and have been a passion for me since I started my first mural in middle school over 20 years ago. Public art in my opinion is ONE of, if not THE most, community driven forms of expression that any visual artist can undertake. La Neta for me has been a transformation from being primarily a solo artist into a collaborative juggernaut. Working alongside other amazing artists has helped me to build upon my own skills and truly bring a sense of community into my art life. The best is yet to come!
